Image guidance is a daily part of radiation therapy treatment and it is imperative that all staff are competent in the safety of radiation practices, understanding the rationale for imaging choice and following imaging procedures, with detailed advice for solving common problems.  Radiation therapists signing off on pre-treatment images ensures the patient has received the correct treatment and is completed under the provision of the radiation oncologist prescription.
