Dear WSLHD Moodle Users
Thank
you all for your continuing support. This email advises you on the recent
update that may assist you in navigating the WSLHD Moodle Collaborative Site for
Education and Training. Update such as:
- The plan to upgrade from 3.8 to Moodle 3.10 has been completed
- New
features and overview can be (YouTube) or via Educators Tutorials that have new videos related to the latest version. Videos from previous versions are still applicable.
- Student’s Tutorials have the latest video of the new version.
- Network Categories have been cleaned up and updated, to ensure some consistency with My Health Learning
- Landing page slideshow images have been updated.
Attention to Course Site Facilitators/Owner:
If you are responsible for maintaining a course site within this system as a ‘Facilitator’ access role, please ensure to check the following:
- Check your course site(s) to see if there is an obvious error resulting from the upgrade. For example, skewed/glitches on a content page(s).
- Check if all the facilitators and SME role access via 'Administration block | Users | Enrolment' are current and active employees, if not please remove/cease their access to your course site.
- An audit and surveys will occur in the few weeks that require your action.
- FYI, new plugins added to the system – ready for use, click on the name to view how to use it.
- Completion Progress Bar
- Grade Me
- HP5 interactive (updated)
- Class QR Code as a ‘Block’ function
If in doubt, please contact WSLHD Education Technology via helpdesk for technical support. Note that the Helpdesk Support Office will recommence on Monday, 11th January 2021.
Next upgrade is scheduled around the end of December 2021 to
version 4.0 or higher.
